MICHAEL ANTHONY GOBERT February 22, 1957 August 22, 2018 It is with great sadness that the family of Michael Anthony Gobert announces his passing on Wednesday, August 22, 2018, at the age of 61 years, at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, in Edmonton, AB. Michael was born to Maurice Gobert and the late Doris Gobert, on February 22, 1957, in St. Boniface, Manitoba. Michael will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Patricia (nee Menzies); daughters, Samantha and Katie; father Maurice (Laura) and brother Jason (Janice). Michael is predeceased by his mother Doris; brother Daniel; grandmother Meta Gobert; uncle Barney Toupin; and cousin Raymond Dedieu. Michael was especially grateful to his second family of Barney and Rita Toupin, who shared their home and love. Michael had a long career with the Government of Canada making many friends over the 26 years he worked there. Michael also loved making mini-donuts with his family at the St. Albert Farmers Market and making cotton candy for the neighbourhood on Halloween. He cherished the times he had with his friends playing darts, backgammon, having a drink in the back yard or going for coffee.
