A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 2, at 1:30 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. A longer obituary will appear in Saturday's edition.

Beatrice became a friend in 2014 when my husband was in Riverview and was her table partner. She made sure someone was called when she thought Lloyd needed help. Although he was only there for 5 months we spent a lot of time together daily. I visited her occasionally and was sad to read of her passing. You all, her family, were the world to her. I was fortunate to have met some of you. My deepest condolences to you all, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Rest in Peace Bea.
