MARY HOWELLS Peacefully, surrounded by family, on Friday, August 24, 2018, Mary Howells passed away at the Health Science Center at the age of 68. Mary will be lovingly remembered by her beloved husband of 46 years Richard and their children, Jeff (Roopa), Christina, Michael (Allison), grandchildren, Sonya, Taira, Kayin, Elijah, Logan, Kate and Max. She was very close with her brothers and sister and in-laws Chris, Wilhelmina, Joe, Jack, Willy, Susan, Tim and all of their families. The coupon queen took great pride in her family and friends. She loved laughter and seeing everyone smile. She may have gotten your name wrong, but, "what's in a letter?" She loved to brand you with a lipstick cheek kiss and you were happy for it. She is well remembered for her hugs that completely enclosed you in her heart, and there was nothing else but surrender. Mary didn't care about material things, she was very down to earth, she ALWAYS put everyone else first. Mary loved all children and loved her work as school bus driver for 19 years with the Louis Riel School Division. She will always be loved and always be in our hearts and memories forever. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 31, 2018 at 11:00 am, St. Bernadette Parish, 820 Cottonwood. A private family interment will be held at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. Special thanks to the nurses, Sally and Katrin for your loving support to Mary during her stay. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Mary to Cancer Care Manitoba or The Winnipeg Humane Society. Olma as we used to call you. It is ridiculous to lose a good person like you. But God giveth and taketh. All I can say now it for the family to take hearth most especially Christiana who was the only female among the children. Olma we your sweet family will always remember you in prayer. It was of great sadness that we learned of Mary’s passing. Mary was such a special person, always had time to chat and a laugh. I know we will miss her greatly at the beach.
