ANNA CAMILLA PETERSON Surrounded by her loving family, Anna Camilla Peterson passed peacefully in the afternoon of August 27, 2018. The family that she loved who went before her are her beloved husband of 58 years, Franklin; father Jon Johanneson Breidal; mother Kristrun (nee Gudmundson); brothers, Bertel, Helgi, Skip, Kristjan, John Murray and Johannes; her father-in-law Burton Peterson and mother-in-law Winnifred (nee McNabb); sisters-in-law, Mary Lou (Larry) DeBlaere and Barb Laminger; and brothers-in-law, Robert and James Peterson, Hallgrimur Erickson, Larry Schau and Johannes Koldyk. She is the beloved mother of Kathleen (Norm Daschle) and granddaughter Annalise Peterson-Perry; Elizabeth Tribe (David) and grandchildren, Ellen, Emily and Jackson; and Byron (Sandra Nakata); and beloved birth mother of Bev Seaborn. She continues to be cherished by her sisters, Valgerdur Erickson, Bonnie Schau and Lilja Koldyk; sisters-in-law, Doreen Peterson and Bette Robertson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and their families whom she loved dearly. Anna was born on a farm near Baldur, Manitoba on September 22, 1937 and attended Hola and Baldur High Schools. Growing up on the farm was wonderful as she helped her dad and brothers in the barn and out in the field. Later she worked for Stephens Paints in Winnipeg where she met the love of her life, Frank. As a stay-at-home mom for many years, she cared for her kids diligently, relished outdoor work and spent many hours indoors lovingly making clothes for herself and children. Later she returned to the workforce working for Eaton's, Simpsons and Health Canada. She continued her passion for sewing, making numerous quilts for her family, church banners and baptismal stoles. In retirement, she and Frank would golf every day in the summertime and regularly visit family, who lived in many other places, often stopping at familiar places for an ice cream cone. A CELEBRATION OF ANNA'S LIFE will be held at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 190 Massey Road, Regina, SK on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Lutheran World Relief, 600 - 177 Lombard Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3B 0W5 or Our Savior's Lutheran Memorial Fund. Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • I remember spending time with Anna and Frank as a young boy. And I continued my phone calls until Uncle Frank passed away. Love you both. In the future please don't shorten my grandmothers name. Barbara Laminger. My oldest daughter is named after her. - Posted by: Steve Laminger (Great nephew) on: Sep 11, 2019

  • My sincere sympathy to all of Anna's Family. Our memories of the first years of school and of sharing with our neighbours, the Breidals, colours all my thoughts of the good times we did share with Anna. It was a privilege to have grown up in the one room country school and sharing the grade with Anna and my sister Lorelie. Anna always had to put up with being stuck between the two of us. The ball games, anti-I over ball over the roof of the school, dodge ball and the fights with the prickly pear cucumbers that grew along the school fence were only part of the recess times. Then there were the tunnels we dug in the snow banks along the school fence. Ah the good times we had. Anna will be missed by all those who crossed her path. Thanks for the memories.
