Date of Passing: Aug 28, 2018
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHOMER GRANT LEONHART In loving memory of Homer Grant Leonhart who passed away, at Seven Oaks Hospital, on August 28, 2018 at the age of 90 years. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Margaret "Ellen" Leonhart, nieces, Grace Torrance and Dorothy Anne Quail and husband Jack, nephew Bill Leonhart and his wife Linda, as well as Homer's sister-in-law Lynda Lockyer and her husband Alan. Homer was born in Winnipeg on September 10, 1927 to William Henry and Annie Isabel Leonhart. Homer spent 32 years of his working career at Crane Plumbing. He was an excellent bowler and an avid golfer, hunter and curler. After retiring Homer and Ellen enjoyed many summers at their Flanders Lake cabin fishing and hiking. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff of the Surgical ward, Units 1 and 5, at Seven Oaks Hospital for their kindness and care during Homer's last days and also to the wonderful Kingston Crescent neighbours Ted and Marg Avent and Jeff and Luella Bernacki for their support of Homer and Ellen. At Homer's request there will be no service, and if friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Homer's memory to a charity of their choice.
