SIMONE GOSSELIN October 14, 1934 - August 29, 2018 Simone Gosselin (née Manaigre) suddenly and unexpectedly passed away on Wednesday morning, at 9:00 a.m. in the De Salaberry St. Pierre Hospital, at age 83. Daughter of Almanzor and Marguerite (née Dufresne) Manaigre (both predeceased), Simone grew up on a farm in Lorette, MB, started teaching in Giroux after her education, married Célestin Gosselin (predeceased) on July 20, 1957, and continued teaching for 13 years in St. Malo while managing a dairy farm for 31 years with Célestin on his parental homestead in St. Malo, MB. Left to deeply cherish her memory are children, Anita (Reid) Gosselin-Pratt, Lucille Preteau and Henri (Cathy McFarlane) Gosselin, grandchildren, Jérôme (Amy) Preteau, Jeannine (Wes Reimer) Preteau, Beau and Cameron Pratt; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous family members and friends. Prayers will start at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Memorial Mass service at 10:30 a.m., both held in the church of St. Malo, MB on Friday, September 7, 2018, led by Father Dominic La Fleur. Reception will follow in the church basement. Interment will take place at a later date. Flowers are graciously declined, preferring donations to a charity of your choice.
