I'm so sorry for your loss Mary, Carolyn, Jim Doug and families. I remember your Dad well from way back when on Telfer St. days. There were lots of good times and fond memories that I have from way back when. I'm sorry for not seeing this obituary sooner. If I had known I would have come and paid my respects to you all on September 11th. For that I am sorry. My sincerest condolences and prayers go out to you all. One day at a time. xox Sandy - Posted by: Sandy Stewart (Sandra Robinson) (Childhood friend of Carolyn) on: Sep 17, 2018

Mary, so sorry to hear of Carl's passing. You and Carl were such good friends of my parents, especially after my Dad passed away so many years ago. You offered such support and kindness to my Mom, and included her in invitations for dinners, and to the lake, and always picked her up and got her home. I know she valued your friendship greatly, and we thank you for that. And I felt that that friendship continued to us after Mom passed away, and we enjoyed our last visit in Arizona. Carl and you always made us feel welcome and we enjoyed the visits. Unfortunately, Dan will be in BC, and I will be out of town, but I will absolutely try to get back in time for the service. If not, we wish you prayers and I will both be out of town, but know that our thoughts are with you and your family. - Posted by: Dan & Bonnie Siemens (Family Friend) on: Sep 09, 2018

Carl was a neighbour, friend and wonderful host. He was always willing to lend a hand with a cottage project. When we worked together on Air Canada’s Safety and Health Committee, he was the man in management who got things done. We shed genuine tears when we heard of his passing. He lived his life well. Our deepest condolences to Jim, Carolyn and Doug and their families. Rest In Peace, Carl. - Posted by: Kathleen and Ron Kristjansson (Laclu friends) on: Sep 08, 2018
