  • Monica you were always my good friend. I liked that we used to go to the pool with Kyra and we always got along. I wish that we could have made more memories together. I was so sad when I found out when you were with the angels. My dude you will fit in well there, because you were always an angel. I hope that you enjoyed the fun memories we had hanging out going to the pool. You were a bundle of joy to us all, love you, rest in peace my good friend. - Posted by: joshuah spence (close friend) on: Oct 24, 2018

  • My condolences for your loss. Cant imagine what you are going through. There is not much to say that could take away the pain. But we can remember her in our heart and minds. - Posted by: Janice Panteluk (Neighbour ) on: Sep 13, 2018

  • Monica you were the first person I met when I moved to Winnipeg in 1994. We became friends pretty fast. You taught me how to apply makeup and a bunch of other things in the “girl” department. I found a friend in you and grew to trust and respect you for who you were. We spent many nights staying up late and talking about all the things we wanted to become. You were always cheerful and had a smile even if you were feeling dragged down. We spent the last 7 years always talking about needing to catch up, you come visit or I come back and visit you. Here I am sitting in the airport waiting on my flight to come to your celebration in life. I really wish I had taken more time to visit sooner, make more memories. Monica you were a pretty loved person. I wish you were able to read all these messages before the fight became to hard. - Posted by: Tree Drury (Tricia Robichaud) (Friend) on: Sep 12, 2018

  • 10 years ago a beautiful young soul full of life stood up and offered a seat for my 2 years old son to sit beside her daughter in a crowded bus carrying college students. She said to me, "My name is Monica, you are Mufassa right? You are in my class, your son and my daughter also goes to same class in daycare." I thanked her and I said by the way my name is Mustefa nice to meet you and the whole bus laughed. Just like that we became friends and more like a brother and sister. Monica was such a lovely kind and humble human being too soon to die. As foreign students I struggled with culture and Canadian school systems but she helped me catch up in no time. I could call her 1 in the morning in exam week and she is as pleasant as always and she never hesitate to call you 3 in the morning. You are too young to die Monica! RIP my friend! You will be missed. - Posted by: Mustefa (Classmates ) on: Sep 11, 2018

  • I met Monica in nursing school in 2008. I was drawn immediately to her vibrant energy. A little of a wild child with the kindest heart just like me. We connected right away. When I was going through difficult times she opened her home to me and was there when I had no one. She truly had the kindest heart underneath her tough exterior. Full of life and so much laughs. My heart and prayers goes out to your beautiful daughter and family. Cheers my beautiful friend. Until we meet again 😘💜🌹 - Posted by: Dianne Cluney (Friend) on: Sep 11, 2018

  • My dear Monica, unfortunately we weren’t close over the last 5 years but I was so happy you texted me this summer. We were both working on getting a family tree started and our Metis cards. We were going to meet for lunch but sadly you left this world. Monica always said to me Auntie your so funny and laugh, she had the biggest smile. I see that smile in Kyra. Hoping Mom and papa our giving you all the love and hugs. I will continue this journey we started knowing you will be watching over me. Love your Auntie Gwen ❤️ - Posted by: Gwen Klyne (Niece) on: Sep 11, 2018

  • My love goes out to your daughter and family, your mommy was an incredible lady who loved you more than you can imagine. Monica, you were such an amazing woman, you had the best sense of humour and a contagious laugh! Life is hard my friend, you are gone way before your time. I’m glad I got the pleasure of meeting you, I hope you’re finally at peace ❤️. Xx - Posted by: Elle Petrov (Friend ) on: Sep 11, 2018

  • Monica! My dear friend where has time take life? I just ran into you at the beginning of the summer, you seemed to be doing okay!? It is so sad that the world has lost another wonderful person. I remember when I had met you we were trading our sticker collections on your front step, your dad came by with KoolAid. the BEST KoolAid I’ve ever had! My dentist thought so too!! Gary always allowed us to raid his wallet and have candy runs to Macs at midnight and because of his coolness. We had some amazing crazy sleep overs and even had our own wicked cool hang out in your folks basement - Christmas lights hanging all over! Where we did so much girl talk.... and caused a lot of headaches for your poor lol while she slept... You were my best friend Monica and my childhood would not have been happy with out these memories of us in them. I will always cherish your friendship. I hope you are finally at peace my dear friend I miss you and I love you. Garry Gail and Alyssa I am truly sorry for your loss. I send air hugs and condolences. • Monica & I met in grade 7, John Pritchard Jr. High & became best of friends since. We went through the worst of times and the best of times together and those are moments in life I will never forget and one day I will share some of those stories and memories with her beautiful daughter. My heart goes out to her family as they were almost just like my own parents since I was at their house all the time even though I think some days they wanted me to go home LOL. Nothing can prepare anyone for a passing of someone they love like this and I will say not a day will go by that I am not going to think of Monica and things we have been through in our lives. I love you so much my friend, may your spirit rest peacefully now. - Posted by: Miranda Meier (Lifelong friend) on: Sep 08, 2018
