Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySOPHIE SCHINKEL (nee DANKOW) October 1, 1929 - September 10, 2018 Peacefully on September 10, Sophie passed away. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Carol Schinkel, granddaughter Natasha Martel (Randall Anderson), son-in-law Richard Martel, sister Verna Desanko (Don), brother Ellis Dankow (Anne), and countless nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Henry, daughter Elaine, and 10 sisters and brothers. Thank you to the fifth-floor staff of Beacon Hill Lodge Nursing Home for their compassionate and most appreciated care. A memorial service will take place Saturday, 10:00 a.m. at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, with reception to follow. A private interment will take place at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens.
