DIETER SCHMIDT Dieter Schmidt, born April 28, 1949, passed away Monday, September 3, 2018 at his home in Winnipeg, MB. He was predeceased by both his parents, Adolf (1920 - 1995) and Auguste (1927 - 2008). Dieter loved the outdoors, specifically hunting and fishing and, at his request, his ashes will be spread "in a lake with the best fishing". Arrangements will be made at a later date for a private service. His family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to his friends for their companionship, loyalty and support over the years, with special acknowledgment to Dennis, Danny and Bill. My deepest condolences to Dieter's children. I knew Dieter for many years in the insurance industry. Unfortunately I lost touch with him about 6 years ago. Many people who were connected with Dieter through work have been in contact since learning of his passing.
