LOIS WEISS After a long and happy life, Lois peacefully passed away, with her daughters by her side, on Saturday, September 1, 2018, at the age of 87, at the Convalescent Home of Winnipeg. Lois was predeceased in 1990 by her husband Ed and is survived by her daughters, Sheryl Maguire, Brenda Wall (Bert) and Darcie Friesen; grandchildren, Chelsea Demler (Tim), Tyler Maguire (Christi), Aaron Morissette, Brennyn and Brittany Friesen. Born and raised in Winnipeg, Lois started her early career with the Manitoba Wheat Pool, followed by many years in the hospitality industry at the Sheraton Carlton and The Charter House from which she retired at the age of 65. During retirement Lois enjoyed travelling, spending time with her children and grandchildren, as well as volunteering at the Holy Redeemer Parish food bank. Her days were also filled with wonderful knitting projects, doing puzzles, the daily crosswords and watching a variety of sports on television. For over 50 years, Lois was a life-long Ten Pin bowling enthusiast where she attended local tournaments and had her annual Fargo trip with 'the girls'. We would like to extend our sincere thank-yous to the nurses and staff at the Convalescent Home of Winnipeg, who encouraged her competitive nature and cared so kindly for our mother. Flowers are gratefully declined but a donation in Lois' memory may be made to the Convalescent Home of Winnipeg, 276 Hugo St. N., Winnipeg, MB R3M 2N6 or the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba. Lois will be sadly missed and always remembered. At our mother's request no service will be held. INTEGRITY Cremation & Funeral Planning 204 295 5408 - IntegrityDeathCare.com
