DONNA VOTOUR (nee FIRMAN) June 11, 1952 - September 8, 2018 It is with great sadness to announce that Donna passed away peacefully, with her daughters by her side, after a courageous battle with cancer on September 8, 2018, at the Arborg Hospital, at the age of 66. Donna was predeceased by her husband Raymond in 2000, her mother Sophie in 2014 and her father Walter in 1969. She is survived by her children: Scott, Teressa (Clark), Devon, Shannon and Boyd; and grandchildren: Keely (Steven), Vaughn, Alexis, Reece, Rylee, Ryan, Corey, Talia and Crue. Also left to mourn her passing, brothers: Wesley (Julie), Andy (Agy) and Darvin (Wanda). Donna was born in Arborg on June 11, 1952, to Walter and Sophie Firman. She attended school in Arborg and upon completion, moved to Winnipeg to work. Donna met Raymond in Winnipeg and were married December 14, 1971. After spending several years in Winnipeg and some time in Moncton, New Brunswick, Donna and Raymond moved to Arborg, where they settled and raised their family. Donna spent time at home with her children and then started working at Amma's Kitchen, where she made many of her close friends. In the early 1990s, Donna was hired as a caregiver at the Riverton Group Home and Riverdale Place Homes. Donna took pride in her work and made many more friends along the way. Donna loved her family and her pride and joy were her grandchildren, she was a wonderful grandmother and always wanted what was best for them. Besides her grandchildren, she loved to bake, crafts, gardening, selling Avon, and enjoying tea time with family and friends. Donna will be missed by all who knew her. The family would like to thank the nurses and healthcare aide staff the Arborg Hospital for their care and compassion during this time. Also, a special thank you to Judy, Jodine and Sheila for their great care and support during the time Donna was at home. Thanks to all the family and friends who spent time visiting Donna in the Winnipeg Hospitals, Arborg Hospital, and at home during Donna's illness. A private service will be held at a later date.
