ANNETTE TURKO (PASOSKY)
Date of Passing: Sep 10, 2018
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNETTE TURKO (nee PASOSKY) Peacefully, on the evening of September 10, 2018, Annette Turko (nee Pasosky) took her last breaths. Annette was born in Glenella, Manitoba, to James and Hattie Pasosky. After contemplating whether she would pursue nursing or teaching, she decided to follow her life's path as an educator and, in her early career, taught in Reeve, Langruth, Deloraine, McCreary and Kelwood, before moving to Winnipeg in 1964 to teach for many years in the St. James-Assiniboia School Division. Annette was proud to be a teacher and truly enjoyed her many students and the colleagues with whom she worked. Annette was predeceased by her younger brother Bill and her husband Steve, both of whom she missed dearly, especially Steve, who was her "rock". She is survived by her son Earl, daughter Darcie, and their spouses Gayle (Warrenchuk) and Dan (Norton). She will also be missed by her grandchildren, Hilary (Adam Bathe) and Cole, and will regrettably miss the growing up of her two great-grandchildren, Astrid and Nico. Annette's family members cannot adequately express their gratitude to the staff at River Park Gardens, who cared for and supported Annette so professionally and compassionately in her daily life and in her last days. As per Annette's wishes, a private family gathering of remembrance will take place at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home.
