Glenn was my cousin. Our mothers were sisters. I have a lot of great memories of Glenn especially as kids when we spent our time at Twin Beaches. From fishing and hunting to boating and waterskiing. One of my favourite times with Glenn is when we went hunting with Al fedora my dad and uncle ron. We went to laRiviere. The morning was a bust until Al found a pond full of ducks! There were so many ducks the noise was like a war zone. When they tried to take off and fly they were right in front of us. It ended up being an awesome day. Glen was the oldest of us six and would catch flack for what we ever trouble we got into. Glenn and Bob treated me like a younger brother. When we were together we always found something fun to do. I haven't seen Glenn for years. I wish it could have been like the old days seeing him happy and smiling. Liz and I and our family pass along our love and condolences to Donna and family, Uncle Ron and Aunty Ann, Bob and Ann, Dawna and Ron and Laurie RIP Glenn. Worked with Glenn for the last 20 plus years. I was made aware of Glenn's passing on the Monday night. Reading the Saturday Free Press, seeing Glenn's picture & reading the obituary, just didn't seem real. Glenn was really strong in a social setting, the first guy to get up & give someone a hand shake. Would always be the first person to welcome a new team member. Glenn was that guy if he saw you in a mall, he would go out of his way to come talk to you while many folks do the exact opposite. We thank Glenn for his years of service & our condolences go out to his friends & family. - Posted by: Brent Garrioch (Co-worker) on: Sep 19, 2018

Our sincere condolences to the Hall Family. I met Glen while at RRCC where we where both enrolled in the Refrigeration Course. We both ended up working together at Fleming Pedler where we became very good friends. Glen and I enjoyed hunting and fishing at Twin Beaches, Woodlands, Lake St. Francis, and numerous other areas. I also had the pleasure to meet and get to know his family well. Glen and I were active together in RSES, and always found ways to make education in our trade more exciting by adding volleyball into the mix. We spent much time together travelling as far as Sioux St. Marie and many other far away destinations to install refrigeration systems. We worked hard, however always found time to get out and enjoy the towns or cities that we worked in. Glen and I travelled to Duluth (Spirit Mountain) to ski and as well many other recreational trips. People that met Glen were quick to become his friends, his big smile and big heart ensured that. Glen was good at his work and that will never be forgotten by the many people that he worked with while at Fleming Pedler and in later years while in the wholesale business. You will be missed by many. Glen rest in peace. Walter Lehmann - Posted by: Walter Lehmann (Friend) on: Sep 18, 2018

I just got home from Minneapolis tonight, my dad left me a message on my answer machine about Glenn's passing, I am terribly upset about this. Glenn was my best friend, the older brother I never had. So many stories and good times. Took me fishing, duck hunting, like fly in fishing Big Whiteshell, and the famous Pickerel Creek fishing trips. We worked together at Westburne Plumbing / United Refrigeration. Somehow we just became good friends for well over 25 years. My Condolences to all of his family. I hope that you have found the peace you were always looking for. - Posted by: Lawrence Bohonos (Friend ) on: Sep 17, 2018

Over the years of visiting Lake Manitoba I had the real pleasure of knowing Glenn growing up. Although I only saw him once in a while as I don’t live in Manitoba I always looked forward to seeing him at the cottage. His daughter Dayna and my daughter Sydney were pals when they were young. Glenn was a great person, loving father, just an all round good guy. Probably the biggest memory I have of him is the year when everyone pitched in to build the walls at the front of the cottages to protect from the lake. That summer Glenn and Bobby taught me how to water ski. I finally got up after many tries and lots of encouragement and patience from the brothers. I am sincerely saddened by this news and my thoughts, love and prayers go out to the family for this terrible loss. Karen - Posted by: Karen (Ward) Alexander (Cousin by marriage) on: Sep 17, 2018

Our condolences to the Hall Family. I am a little older than Glenn, Bob, and Dawna, but I was lucky to have many wonderful childhood years at Poison Ivy Cove. Uncle Ron let me drive the tractor up and down the road, into the marsh, kids hanging off the back. Great fishing, duck hunting, and helping make cement. Rest in Peace, Glenn. - Posted by: Brian and Starr Hanson (Family Friends) on: Sep 16, 2018
