GLEN CLEGG It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Alvin Glen Clegg, long-time resident of St. Andrews, MB. He passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 13, 2018, at Grace Hospital in Winnipeg, MB. Dad was born on February 18, 1934 in Oak Point, MB. Glen is survived by his wife Karen, of 57 years, along with their four children, Allan (Carla), Ken, Ron (Beverley) and Brent (Robin); grandchildren, Kyra, Dannan, Brendan, Devon, Bailey, Chantal, Austin, Katherine (Drayson), Mikael, Janet, Sina and Harper; his brother Lloyd (Lorna); sisters, May (Murray) Robbins, and Rose (Jerry) Anderson; sister-in-law Sheila Buchanan; brothers-in-law, Richard (Pauline) Brandson, Grant (Beatrice) Brandson, Roy Funk, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Horace and Jona Sina, and daughter-in-law Patricia. Glen had the good fortune to be extremely proficient at carpentry but also loved doing it. He loved to build; at work with Malcom Construction where he was the Manager of Operations, and at home building his house, finishing his cottage, and making furniture for all of his family. He also enjoyed gardening, and having a golf course like lawn - it all had to be done to perfection. He was proud and he loved when people noticed his talents. Dad and Mom, the love of his life, loved to Dance! The Old Time Country waltzs, it's where they met, it was their passion together. They were long time members of the Belgetoba dance club, and would travel near and far to the dances with their special friends. Dad loved to visit with friends and family, he cared about everyone. The family would like to acknowledge the staffs at Brightwater Personal Care Home and the Grace Hospital for the compassionate care they provided. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be held on Friday, September 21, 2018, at 3:00 p.m. at the Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Selkirk, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Parkinson Canada or the Alzheimer Society.
