Deb is also survived and will be missed by her cousins, Gary Temple and family; Don and Pat Temple and family; and Bill and Marg Lyle and family. She grew up in Winnipeg and graduated from the University of Manitoba in 1977. Further education was obtained at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, Calgary, AB and the Manitoba Institute of Technology, Winnipeg. Deb's working career was varied both in Calgary and after her return to Winnipeg in the early 1990s. Her last employment was as a Pharmacy Technician until 2015. Deb's interests were varied including travelling with family and friends, playing bridge and other card games, reading, swimming, doing jigsaw puzzles, keeping up with current news events, listening to music, watching movies and favourite television shows. She also attended the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra Pops concerts for many years. Family was all important to Deb as she was to her family. Christmas was a special time for her; her ginger cookies were in demand. Flowers are gratefully declined. Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • Since it is almost a year later, I don't know if this will be passed along, but I just stumbled on her obit while surfing and wanted to send my sympathies. Debbie was my best friend in Winnipeg. After we moved to Montreal in 1966 I got a hamster and named it DJ in her honour. I have a lot of good memories of hanging out at your house and your parents buying jugs of A&W root beer and making floats. I was back in Winnipeg the summer of 2017 to bury my Mom and went back to the old neighbourhood with my older daughter and husband. It hasn't changed very much. I am shocked and sorry to hear about Deb - another reason to feel old. - Posted by: Teresa (Terry) Lemieux (Jessie St friend) on: Sep 07, 2019
