HARVEY JOHN (JACK) MCNEILL Peacefully, with his family and friends by his side, on Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at the Riverview Health Centre, Jack McNeill, aged 69 years, of Winnipeg, MB, passed away. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.

  • Our sincere condolences to all of Jack’s family. We were friends since we were very young. I remember many board games and card games and lots of laughter. Our families were close friends and we grew up almost like cousins. As teens we spent hours talking on the phone and hanging out with friends. Our families shared many good times especially around the Xmas season. I will never forget the year we were driving back to my parents place from Carol’s on Xmas Eve. We were coming down Eveline when we saw Santa Claus with a horse and sleigh. He waved at us and hollered Merry Christmas. When we got back to my place and told everyone, our parents asked just what we had to drink. Since I heard of Jack’s passing, I have been flooded with memories of all the good times and also some sad times. Jack was a kind and dear person and I know he will be greatly missed. I am grateful for the emails over the years that kept us up to date on each other’s lives. He was always so proud of his family.
