MARGARET JOWETT (TUCKER) On Wednesday, September 19, 2018, Margaret Jowett (Tucker), wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 87 years. Marg will be forever remembered by her husband of 64 years and best friend Harold, and her family, Greg (Joy), Bruce (Cathy) and Barbara (Doug). Mom was a wonderful grandmother to Brita, Dinah, Vanessa, Nicole, Brett, Jon, and Scott. Her grandchildren were very special to her and the candy drawer was always full for visits. Mom was a Winnipeg girl born to Fred and Ada Tucker and grew up in Riverview with her five siblings, Gladys Shelford, Austin Tucker, Philip Tucker, Doris Gosskie and Winston Tucker. Mom is survived only by her twin sister Doris. She attended Kelvin High School and was later employed at James Richardson and Sons Ltd. before moving on to raise her family in Westwood. Playing bridge with friends from the neighborhood, preparing for family gatherings and cooking Sunday dinners brought her great joy. Mom will be remembered for her kindness, wit and compassion that shone through in everything she did. The family would like to thank the staff at Oakview Place for their love and care of our mother over the last four years. We would also like to recognize the friendship and support of sister-in-law Catherine Tucker over the years. They had a truly special bond. In lieu of flowers, mom would have asked people to do a gesture of kindness for someone else. A private family service has taken place.
