Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOROTHY CUMBERLAND November 20, 1923 - September 28, 2018 Peacefully on September 28, 2018 our loving mother Dorothy Cumberland passed into eternity, with her family by her side. Dotty leaves to mourn her son Jim Jr. (Janice), daughter Gail, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her dearly beloved husband Jim Sr. in 1997 and son Leslie (Eddy) in 1994. Mom loved to go to her home at Matheson Island where she would spend countless hours with her nieces, Hazel and Bev (Dennis). Her greatest love was gardening and she spent hours in her garden and at her grandsons. Mom lived a long and satisfying life. She was a very independent lady up to the day she left us. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 2 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, MB. Interment will take place the next day in the Matheson Island Cemetery. Pallbearers are Ryan, Chris and Jerry Sereda, Bobby Cumberland, Dennis Puetz and Jim Cumberland Jr. Condolences, photos and videos may be left on her tribute wall at www.gilbartfuneralhome.com Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
