Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM (BILL) RIEDNER 1937 - 2018 Peacefully on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Concordia Hospital, Bill, beloved husband of Loretta passed away at the age of 81. He was predeceased by his parents, Adolf and Rosalie (nee Flatt) Riedner; parents-in-law, Lloyd and Charlotte Whitcomb; and brother-in-law Gary Bonikowsky. Bill will be lovingly remembered by his spouse of 56 years, Loretta; children, Daniel (Michelle), Gregory (Tania); grandchildren, Joshua (Elizabeth), Benjamin (Shania), Nathan, George, Sean, and Rebecca. He will also be lovingly remembered by his brother Harry (Sheila); sister-in-law Louise Bonikowsky; and extended family and many friends. Bill loved his family time with his grandchildren, and the time he spent fishing. He loved working with his hands, crafting, building, and helping others. Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 6, 2018, at Kilcona Alliance Church, 1977 Norris Road, Winnipeg, MB. Reception will follow and a private interment will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in William's name to a charity of one's choice. I just heard of Bill's passing yesterday and immediately remembered how he and Loretta, shortly after their marriage and settling in to their home/apartment on Ottawa Street in Kitchener, invited us younger cousins (me, my brother Gary & another cousin Sieg) to watch a hockey game on their TV. So sorry Loretta for your loss... I just heard about Bill's passing the other day. Please know that I am thinking of you and your family at this sad and difficult time.
