Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDWARD DOUGLAS ROLAND SMART Peacefully, after a valiant battle with cancer, Edward passed away on September 27, 2018 at Portage District General Hospital, at age 61. Predeceased by his father Roland (1997) and brother-in-law Jack Hart (2016), Ed will be lovingly remembered by his mother Helen (nee Tomiuk) and sisters, Elizabeth (George) Paton, Barbara Hart and Gloria Smart, and their families. His extended family includes several aunts, uncle, cousins and friends. As per Ed's wishes, there will be no funeral service. Cremation has taken place. Interment will take place at Evergreen Memorial Gardens at a later date. Messages of condolences can be made online at www.omegafuneralhome.com. Omega Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
