NEAL BOURGEOIS 1989 - 2018 Unexpectedly on September 27, Neal had a severe brain bleed while at his day program. On October 3, 2018, our happy special boy left us to be with his Papa (Herve Bourgeois), and his Granddad and Baba (Aime and Isabelle Omichinski). Left to remember him are mom and dad, (Ray and Lori (nee Omichinski)), big brother Reegan, furry brother Rush, grandma Martha Bourgeois, aunts and uncles: Wayne, Michelle, Don, Karina, Marna, David, Barb, Sandy, Gil, Michael and Kathy; great uncle Reggie, many cousins, great aunts, great uncles, his special friends, Val, Cheryl, Johnathon and Caroline, as well as all his friends from Trailblazers Life Choices and our many neighbours he always greeted with a "Hi" and "Happy". Neal made you look at things differently. Whether it was waiting for a train, being out in the rain, finding those airplanes high in the sky or seeing his smiling face at the end of a hard work day, having him around made you smile too. He will be greatly missed. Our thanks to Jovy and Cheryl, who took care of him until Mom and paramedics arrived, and to the Concordia Hospital staff. A celebration of Neal's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg. Donation in his memory may be made to Trailblazers Life Choices, 5-1031 Autumnwood Dr., Winnipeg, MB R2J 1C6. All donations will be used to upgrade tablets and computers helping to enhance the lives of the many friends Neal made these past eight years. • Our hearts go out to you Ray & Lori. Stacey came home last week from program crying, as she told me that Neil had passed away. Stacey often commented fondly about Neil. She enjoyed traveling in the van to & from program with him. We definitely heard about his love for rain - like the week they went together to Camp Koinonia and it rained all week. Neil was probably the only happy camper! We pray that you'll find comfort through family & friends as you celebrate his life. - Posted by: Stacey, Ed & Pam Friesen (Trailblazers Life Choices) on: Oct 12, 2018

  • Lori & Ray and Reagan This is a loss that was not expected. When I heard of this I was very very sad. We have known Neal at a very young age and had become a very special person of our block. It has been wonderful to see him grow over the years and also warm up to us and others and say HI as passing. I’m sure you have been receiving a lot of messages of him playing in the puddles “Neal’s favorite time of all” I know we will miss this also ... our side of the bay won’t be the same. Our deepest Sympathy to the whole family ... praying for comfort and peace. • Ray and Lori, my thought and prayers go out to you during this difficult time. I have such wonderful memories of Neal, especially crossing the train tracks, he would get so excited! The water, ‘watch it go’, jelly beans, can’t forget those, he loved them! Of course his beautiful smile, especially when he saw someone he liked, his face would light up! Beautiful memories! • Hi. I knew Neal when he attended Oakenwald School. I was first his music teacher and then also when he would come on some field trips with us when I was one of the teachers in room 11 (IPSA program). He was a cheery little fellow who I always looked forward to working with. My condolences on your loss. - Posted by: Kristi Grunsten-Yonda (former teacher) on: Oct 07, 2018
