Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Anyone who had the chance to meet “Fred” received a true gift. Not too many people grace this earth with such a gift precious to others. His infectious smile, the glimmer of mischief in his eyes, his story telling, his passion, his compassion and empathy towards others, his love of dogs and nature, and especially his love of trains were some of his special gifts. He was one of the kindest man I have ever met. Perry and Family, I am sorry for your loss. Fred had such longevity, as I know he had so many stories to tell. My condolences. - Posted by: Jacqueline Popplestone (Acquaintance ) on: Oct 20, 2018

  • Fred was one of my favorite people to run into at the lake. Always smiling or laughing and typically telling some silly story or joke. Overalls and a great attitude on life . I think Fred had more fun in his life than most people due to his incredibly happy attitude and outlook on things. I was lucky enough to have known him over 50 yrs and heard some of his best lines while sitting around talking about life. Great man a true gentleman and one of the nicest people I have ever met in my life. He made Malachi a better place for anyone who was lucky enough to meet him. He had fun and lived life to the fullest. We will all miss him. Glenn - Posted by: glenn (neighbor) on: Oct 17, 2018

  • When I was a young lad in cubs Fred was the “Akela” of our scout troop at Westworth United church. He was a kind and gentle soul who provided leadership and mentoring to a group of young boys who were just starting out. He was a man you could look up to.
