Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWENDY ANN DOVZUK (nee TODD) It is with great sadness that we announce that Wendy Ann Dovzuk has passed away. Peacefully with her family and friends present, she passed away at 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, October 14, 2018, at the St. Boniface General Hospital. Wendy was 68 years of age. She was born April 10, 1950 to parents, Harold and Dorothy Todd. She spent all of her childhood years in the St. James - Assiniboia area of Winnipeg. After school Wendy worked for Topps Department store as a clerk. She then was employed as an office worker for Railway and Power Engineering Limited. After this she took time out to get married to Gary Dovzuk, whom she met on vacation at Grand Beach. Together they had two children, Shannon and Russell, and she remained at home to raise our family. Once the children were in their teens she returned to the workforce at Prairie Research and Associates as a supervisor. On retirement Wendy and Gary moved to Lac Du Bonnet, Manitoba, where we resided until her untimely passing. She was involved in doing crafts her entire life, and was a member of the Riverside Quilters and was involved with quilting all of her time here. She was very talented and despite having severe rheumatoid arthritis managed to complete many projects for family and friends. Wendy struggled with health issues from the age of 19 years. She was a fighter and forged through them never complaining. Her thoughts were always for others not herself. Wendy was from a family of three children, herself and two brothers, Terry Wayne Todd and Randall James Todd. Wendy was predeceased by her father and mother and her older brother Terry. She is survived by husband of 48 years, Gary, and son Russell and daughter-in-law Crystal Dovzuk, and estranged daughter Shannon, and her brother Randy. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Emily Dovzuk, Lucas Dovzuk, Grace Dovzuk and Bree Mann, whom she adored and was always thinking of. At the time of her death, Wendy was a patient in Ward 7 A West at the St. Boniface Hospital, prior to this, she had been in the Pinawa Hospital and the Seven Oaks Hospital. Our family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses of the wards for their care and kindness, not only to Wendy, but to our family and friends as well. You are truly angels and will remain in our hearts forever. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will take place in May or June 2019. A notice will be published prior to the service. Interment is to be in the Riverland Cemetery in Lac Du Bonnet, Manitoba. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any organization of individual choice in Wendy's name. Ron worked with Wendy at Railway & Power many years ago. Gary and family, we are so sorry for your loss. Wendy was such a lovely and fun person to work with and at parties. The last time we saw her was at the Sorenson farm. - Posted by: Ron and Eva Haddad (Friend) on: Oct 20, 2018
