FREDERICK CHARLES STEPHENSON With sadness, we announce the passing of Frederick Charles Stephenson on October 11, 2018. He left this world surrounded by his people. His wife of 68 years, Doreen, and their five children: Jeff (Julie); Tim (Pat); Scott (Jeannette); Perry (Traci) and April (Michelle) would like to thank everyone for their love and support during this difficult time. Fred has seven grandchildren (and spouses) and eight great-grandchildren he adored and cherished. Fred began his career with CP Rail cleaning coaches, working his way up to engineer, the position he retired from at age 51. He used his retirement to care for his grandchildren and serve his family. He spent as much time as he could at his cottage on Malachi Lake. During the winter he made sure driveways in his neighbourhood were clear of snow and ready for action. Fred and Doreen were active members of their community and church. Fred had a love for all animals and all animals loved Fred. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society in his honour. A Celebration of Life for Fred will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Westworth United Church, 1750 Grosvenor, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
