OLIVIA MOISES Olivia Valmonte Moises, aged 52, has passed away on October 17, 2018. She peacefully passed at Seven Oaks Hospital after a brief and hard fought battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family. Olivia was born April 19, 1966 to the late Gloria and Bonifacio Valmonte. She married the love of her life Fernando Moises, November 22, 1986 and gave birth to two boys. Olivia worked as a seamstress at Western Glove Works before finding her passion as a Health Care Aide, where she worked for nearly 15 years at Sharon Home where she was beloved by her co-workers and patients. In addition to raising her two boys, she loved spending time with her sisters and was well known for her cooking skills. Together with Fernando, Olivia loved travelling and enjoying exotic locations. She also had a green thumb. She looked forward to every summer when she could plant in her backyard garden. Amongst all, Olivia was a loving and caring friend and family member. She found joy in helping others. Olivia was preceded in death by her parents, Bonifacio and Gloria Valmonte, brothers, Alvin and Crispin Valmonte, and sister Lourdes Tinio. She is survived by her loving husband Fernando, sons, Bonn and Christian, brothers, Eli (Mimi) and Bennie (Mercie), sisters, Chat (Ron), Miguela (Paul), Let, Lucy and Yoly (Amang), stepmom Erlinda, her brothers-in-law Renato (Belia), Ricardo (Gwendolyn), Florentino Jr (Rhoda) and Joey, sisters-in-law, Patty, Henny, Nelia (Mar), Myrna (Hermie) and Mila, her numerous nieces and nephews here and abroad, friends, and her beloved dog Mocha. The Moises and Valmonte family would like to thank the staff at CancerCare Manitoba, the Health Sciences Centre, as well as the staff at the 5th floor of Seven Oaks Hospital for being so compassionate while Olivia was in their care. There will be a lamay/viewing in her honour 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 24, 2018, at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul. Her funeral will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 25, 2018 at St. Peter's Church, 748 Keewatin Street, Winnipeg, immediately followed by her interment at Glen Eden Cemetery.   • I remember Tita as someone who always welcomed us into her home when ever we came over to her house. she was always smiling and I've never seen her ever upset or sad. She brought sunshine to anyone she met. Your boys were so lucky to have you and now God is lucky to have you. My deepest condolences to her family.
