Condolences & Memories (7 entries)

  • Hari was indeed a true gentleman, knowledgeable colleague, steadfast and earnest supporter of his students, and a kind spirit. Hari always gave of himself. He always urged me to take care of myself and not give in to the demands of work but rather to set limits and be sure to set aside time for my family. His guidance was invaluable to me and I am terribly mournful that I missed his service. I will mark his passing in my own way. But if there is anything I can do, please let me know. • Bharat, Sincerest condolences to you and all of your family on the passing of your father. I know him more as a teacher from my days at RRCC. He was excellent and he was a very kind man. He remembered me in later years though I gave him no reason to be so honoured. May he Rest In Peace. - Posted by: David Galbraith (Friend ) on: Oct 29, 2018

  • I was a friend of Jeevit’s in grade school and was invited for dinner. Her parents were so gracious and I could see how Jeevit was influenced by her parents. The evening was so memorable and we talked for hours eating an amazing array of delicious Indian food. Who knew later we would meet again when he was my professor at U of M. I learned so much from him with his quiet gentle manner. Sorry I will not see you Jeevit. I am in Calgary attending my very dearest friend’s funeral and can’t be there to offer my condolences in person. Hopefully this reaches you and we can reacquaint soon! • I had the privilege of working with Harry for many years. He also taught me in my beginning RRC years. I treasure the times I would drive him to his car parked at Polo Park so he wouldn't have to take the bus there. Such a wonderful man, a loss to all of us. Congratulations to all that were privileged to have known him Tracy - Posted by: Tracy Sawchuk (Business Partner) on: Oct 26, 2018

  • Professor Dulat had an enormous influence on my life. Yes, he was my professor, but when I was Senior Stick of Commerce at the UofM in 1978-79, I turned to him on countless occasions for both personal and career advice. We connected time and time again. I know that hundreds (thousands?!) of other students of his will be mourning the passing of this gentleman and scholar. - Posted by: Ted Moorhouse (Student) on: Oct 26, 2018
