FRANK VAN DE LAAR 1947 - 2018 After a long battle with ill health, Frank passed away peacefully on Monday, October 22, 2018 at Bethesda Regional Health Centre surrounded by family. Frank's memory will be cherished by wife, Hélén; children, Donna (Daryl) Stevenson, Daniel (Shauna), Sheila (Dave) Burwell, Sabrina (Barrie) Leybourne, and Jason (Sukhraj); 20 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Marinus and Robert (Leslie), as well as other family members. Dad lived his life to the fullest, enjoying everyday and would want all he cared about to do the same. He exemplified and taught us to love and respect each other; family is the heart of everything and is most important. Nothing is unforgiveable. Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 2, 2018 at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., West St. Paul, MB. • Helen and Frank you raised a wonderful family. You were amazing parents who valued their family. Frank is now in a better place where he will be in no more pain. God will look after him. I respect him for all his hard work and perseverance. Looking after Helen and the family was no easy task when you are in continuous pain. God bless Helen in her time of need and to the whole family. Frank will be missed but always remembered. Take care of each other. Life is too short. - Posted by: Evelyn and Bill Myskiw (friends of the family) on: Nov 01, 2018

  • Frank and Helen are dear friends. So sorry for your loss. Your family has been so kind to.me. You were there when I needed you most, wish I was well enough to just jump in the car an give you a big hug an hold you in my arms Helen, and let you cry. But I haven't driven in such a long time and someone has to take me in a wheelchair, since I got out of ICU. But I wish I was there. I am in spirit. My prays are with you.
