JAYSON JOHN EDWARD ROBERTSON It is with the greatest sadness and disbelief that we announce the sudden passing of Jayson John Edward Robertson at the age of 34. Jayson passed at home on Tuesday, October 23, 2018. Grieving his loss are father, George; sister, Jessica (Matthew); grandmother, Joyce; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Jayson was predeceased by his mother, Bev in 2015. Jayson was born on May 30, 1984 in Winnipeg, Manitoba and grew up in the St. James neighbourhood. He attended Strathmillan and Golden Gate Schools and graduated from Sturgeon Creek Collegiate in 2003 with his welding certificate. He spent many years in construction until injury prevented him from working. As a child, Jayson was involved in Beaver Scouts, soccer and karate. He later developed a passion for skateboarding. Jayson was always a joker trying to make people laugh. He loved watching sports, especially Jets hockey. He was a proud Winnipegger, but after multiple trips to visit friends on Cape Breton Island, Jayson often talked of enjoying the maritime lifestyle. Jayson loved animals and had dogs his whole life. He was dedicated to his family and friends who will all miss him immensely. A service will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Winnipeg Pet Rescue Shelter can be made.
