Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySILKUNAR LILY RAGHOO (nee MAHESH) July 27, 1930 - October 22, 2018 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lily on Monday, October 22 at St. Boniface Hospital. She passed peacefully at the age of 88. Left to cherish her memory is her children, Robin and Anand (Babita); sisters-in-law, Etwaria, Poonerbassie, Kamal, Sherri, Indra, Geanie, Rose and Dawn; brothers-in-law, Veidram and Motie; grandchildren, Kavin and Shaan; nieces, Grace, Olney, Carmen, Amanda, Sandra, Liz, Lolita and Merlin; nephews, Rudolf and Phillip and many other close relatives in Canada and abroad. She was predeceased by her husband Outar "Brother" Raghoo and sisters, Eunice and Lena. Lily was born in Guyana, South America. She first worked at the Rice Marketing Board where she met her future husband. They were married in 1962 and blessed with two children, Robin and Anand. Lily then immigrated to Canada in 1973 with her family. She was then employed at a garment factory, Big 4 Sales and then went on to open Lily's Convenience store. Lily was a loving and devoted wife and mother, always putting the well-being of others ahead of herself. Family was her pride and joy. She loved to cook and was very well known for her banquet style dinners. She also enjoyed gardening and taking care of her flowers. She is and always will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 26, at 10:00 a.m. at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard.
