Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Uncle Doug we will truly miss you. You were a sweet, gentle person with a kind heart. You were not a man of many words but we knew you always cared about us and for that we are truly grateful. - Posted by: Wil, Tanis and William Wilson (Niece) on: Nov 01, 2018

  • I have very fond memories of Uncle Doug, both as a god child/niece growing up with his quiet, warm, accepting nature, but also as an adult with his silent compassionate actions when my mom was passing in 1997. He came to Edmonton with my Auntie Aggie to help my Dad through my mom's illness. I remember him cooking the best stews to help feed during the tough times and numerous acts of kindness with no expectation of gratitude or words of thanks. His actions have spoken volumes and have always been true and from the heart and for this I will be forever grateful. - Posted by: Bonnie Ellison (Niece / God Child) on: Oct 31, 2018

  • Doug and myself worked for at MB Hydro for a time. I enjoyed my time with Doug. We were in a few tight spots and I could always rely on Doug for support anytime. He had a marvelous sense of humor, quite a sociable guy and enjoyed sharing a good joke. I thought myself to be privileged to know "the Bear". He was a great guy. Hang up the spurs and rest in peace Doug. - Posted by: Bob Crawley (Co-worker) on: Oct 30, 2018
