SHAWN QUENTON SCHULTZ March 22, 1971 - October 22, 2018 We sadly announce the passing of our son and brother, Shawn on October 22, 2018, after a lengthy illness. He was 47 years old. Shawn will be fondly remembered by his parents, Dennis and Marilyn Schultz, his brother Morris, and his sister Marlo (Jamie). Shawn is also survived by his three nephews, Tyler, Evan and Rowan. Shawn was born and raised in Charleswood and attended Beaverlodge School, Westdale Junior High, and Oak Park High School. Shawn had a quiet, unassuming manner. His friends remember him as a 'good soul'. He had a lifelong love of animals and enjoyed their companionship immensely. The progression of Shawn's illness caused a solitude that was greatly lessened by the time he shared with his parrot Zeke. Over the last several years, Shawn bravely endured multiple serious health conditions, displaying a personal strength that was inspiring. He shared a special bond with his mother whom he loved and trusted, and who was his primary caregiver during this time. Shawn passed away at home, right where he wanted to be. A funeral service in memory of Shawn will be held at St. Mary's Anglican Church, 3830 Roblin Blvd., on Tuesday, November 6 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a commemorative donation for those who desire can be made online to the Winnipeg Humane Society. www.winnipeghumanesociety.ca For those who wish to sign the online Guest Book please visit www.chapellawn.ca Chapel Lawn Funeral Home 204-885-9715

I'm actually quite shocked. I Just heard about this today. I was wondering why I hadn't seem him around in a while. I was aware he had health issues. My condolences to Shawn's Mom and Dad, Brother and Sister and any and all other family and friends who cared for Shawn. I always had a laugh talking with him. He always had a good word to say. He was a kind and decent human being who treated others well. I will miss seeing you in the neighbourhood and having chats with you Shawn. Rest in eternal peace my friend. God bless you. - Posted by: Mark Anthony Pauls (Friend) on: May 11, 2019

Very sorry to hear of your loss of Shawn. He had a great sense of humour and a warm generous personality, I always enjoyed his company, he was always very kind to me. He will be missed greatly by those who really knew what a good man he was. My apologies for missing his funeral, as I was in an extended hospital visit myself at that time. My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours at this time. Yours very truly, with highest regards, Shayne Lewis - Posted by: Shayne Lewis (Friend) on: May 09, 2019
