ANNIE RUTH OWEEN NELSON Annie Ruth Oween Nelson (nee Roberts), 88 years, beloved wife of Albert Oliver Nelson of Winnipeg, MB, passed away suddenly at Health Sciences Centre on October 27, 2018. She was lovingly surrounded by her family. Ruth was born June 5, 1930 in Lundar, MB, the eldest child of Thomas Owen Roberts (1874 to 1947) of North Wales and Ada Knapp (1897 to 1962) of Toronto, ON. She is survived by her husband Albert Oliver Nelson; sons Garry (Rita) of St. Malo, MB and Rodney (Marilyn) of Morden, MB; four grandsons, three granddaughters and their spouses, along with 17 great-grandchildren and stepgrandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Alma Lobban of Winnipeg, MB; two brothers, Percy (Irene) of Stonewall and Bob (Pat) of Lundar, MB, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, four brothers, Owen, Arthur, David and Eddie, and 14 of her in-laws. A funeral service will take place on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue (across from Brookside Cemetery).
