Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAMES LESLIE MCGINNIS September 4, 1941 - October 29, 2018 After a lengthy and very courageous battle, it is with great sadness that the family of James McGinnis announce his passing on Monday, October 29, 2018 at the Health Sciences Centre. Jim left this earth for a better place, one without pain and suffering. Predeceased by his wife Sharon, Jim leaves to mourn his passing daughter Lori; grandchildren, Ricky and Ashley; precious great-granddaughter Kinsley; best friend and companion Heather; as well as numerous friends and relatives. He also leaves his beloved pets Tequila, Bopper and Graycie who all meant the world to him. A special thank you to all the doctors, nurses, and healthcare staff who cared for Jim during his many stays at Health Sciences Centre. A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 5, 2018 in the Ambassador Room at the Canad Inns, Destination Centre Club Regent. Baseball caps and flannel shirts are optional! As per Jim's wishes, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Funds for Pets Rescue, 26 Mariner Crescent, Winnipeg, MB R2P 0V4 or online at fundsforpets.org "Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal."
