DIRK VANDERHOUT It is with sadness that we announce the death of our son and brother Dirk. Dirk was born in Kenora on March 12, 1968. He spent his younger years there before moving to Winnipeg in 1988. Dirk enjoyed photography and computer programming. His photos were always very creative and beautiful. Dirk was a kind and generous man, and would do anything for his family, friends and his cat. Dirk struggled with mental illness for much of his life, but had a gentle loving soul. Dirk leaves behind his mother Helga, father Dirk Sr., and sister Kristin. He will be missed! Donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 0R3, in his name. Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • Today would be the 100. birthday of my late father, the brother of Helga. As I was searching the net to find some info on my aunt and cousins, I came along this sad news. I never get to know Dirk in person. Sending my sincere condolences to you, aunt Helga! Kristin, if you read this, look for me in social media. I would be happy to get in touch. - Posted by: Kerstin Baramsky (Cousin) on: Dec 09, 2019
