SHIRLEY JANET SYSAK Shirley passed away peacefully on November 8, 2018. Shirley was predeceased by her 10 siblings. In past years she worked at The Bay and as a cosmetician at Boots Drug Store and Shoppers Drug Mart. She enjoyed live music and was artistically inclined. This was evident in her love of interior design and personal fashion. We lost a beautiful lady who cared for everyone. Shirley was very generous to family and relatives and even worried about people she barely knew. She will be lovingly missed by her children, Bradley, Karen (Larry), Marlene, Elaine; and grandchildren, Christopher, Brian, Jeffrey, Kevin, BeauDean, Grant and Heather. Other special people in Shirley's life were Stella, Dorothy, Helen and their extended families; neighbours Gilfixes; Victor; and long time friend Sophie. Mother Teresa was called upon to guide her to the light and love and not to be afraid. She will be reunited with her loving husband, Bill, of 55 years, who passed away in 2010. Great thanks to St. Boniface Hospital 6th Floor staff for their care of our Mom. Thank you for being such a caring Mom! We will love you forever. Interment for Shirley and Bill will be at Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Ave., at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 13, 2018.

  • Our sincere and heartfelt condolences to the Children, Grandchildren, Family and loved ones of Shirley. We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of your dear Mother, and our Neighbor. Shirley was a very sweet and wonderful woman who cared very much about her family, and home. We have been fortunate to have shared many laughs with Shirley and Bill, and celebrate wonderful momentous times with us over the years with our family. We will miss seeing her beautiful smile in the springtime, and catching up at the edge of our yards during summer and fall. May the days ahead bring each of you peace, comfort, courage, and loving memories to forever hold in your hearts. - Posted by: Victor, Sherry and Stefanie Costa (Neighbors) on: Nov 29, 2018

Always a welcoming, warm, friendly lady to all who entered her home or met her at the store while shopping. I always admired her stylish fashion and decorating ideas.
