WARENE RUTH MAYER Peacefully, on November 7, 2018, Warene passed away, at the Grace Hospital, at the age of 81. She was an independent woman all her life, living on her own right up until the very end. She was predeceased by her brothers, R.J. and Fred. Warene is survived by her daughter Glynora and her son Tony, her grandchildren, Derek and Daniel and his wife Letitia, and her great-granddaughter Ella-Rose, whom she adored. Warene loved to knit baby clothes and blankets, generally without knowing who would be the recipient. She enjoyed her flower garden, reading, and occasional trips to the slot machines. A celebration of her life for friends and family will be held at Caboto Centre (1055 Wilkes Ave., Winnipeg, MB), on Monday, November 19, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be no formal funeral or service other than this celebration.
