Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT KING January 11, 1930 - November 13, 2018 It is with sadness, but a reminder of joy, that we announce the passing of our beloved "Papa", Robert King, who went to be with his Saviour on November 13, 2018. Papa lived life with an attitude of "I can do all things through Christ who strengthened me" (Philippians 4:13). It was a verse that he loved and passed onto each of us to live life by. Robert will be greatly missed by his family, but we are so thankful for the legacy he has left to each of us. This includes his wife Joyce, of over 65 years, and his children, Robert (Pat), Sandra (Gary), Andrew (Debbie) and Valerie (Michael). In addition, Papa greatly loved his grandchildren, Lauren (Joel), Rob, Margaret (Terry), William, Kathleen (Jordan), Jennifer (Fredy), Kaitlyn (Jarred), Ashley (Gabe), Emma, Alexander and Samuel, and 10 great-grandchildren, Rory, Breanne, Jeremiah, Micah, Anthony, Molly, Benjamin, Isaac, Sophia and Aiden. The Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 19, 2018 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Papa's life. The family suggests that, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Operation Smile Canada (https://bit.ly/2QKmu7m) would be welcome. We lost the 2 patriarchs of the King family this year, our Uncle Robert this week and his brother and our Dad, Wullie earlier in the year. Sad times indeed but never forget the tremendous lives they led as Brothers heading out to new adventures in Canada, the influence and guidance they gave us and the wonderful memories they leave us with. We had some fantastic times on visits with Robert and many many hours with him on Skype which we now will sadly miss. Just cannot believe he has left us. At this sad time really stuck for words for a really true gentleman and fantastic man.
