PERFECTA VALMONTE RAMOS December 2, 1932 - November 2, 2018 It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of Perfecta Valmonte Ramos, our dear sister, aunt, great-aunt and friend. She will be lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many other family members and friends. She was predeceased by her father Dominador, her mother Felisa, her brother Bonifacio (Gloria), Maria, Ana (Asiong), Eusabia (David), Elisa (Patro), Trophy (Tony), Vicenta and Ofelia. Perfecta was born in Gapan, Nueva Ecija Philippines. She is affectionately known to the family as "Nanay". She dedicated her life to raising her nieces and nephews and their children. She loved us and taught us to love and be loved. She spoiled us with masterful dishes that we thought every food should taste like Nanay's cooking. She poured her heart and held herself to high quality standards in whatever she did - whether it was cutting vegetables evenly, sautéing garlic perfectly brown and crispy and making perfect folds with no creases. Living up to her name, she is perfect in every way. She passed away peacefully in Los Angeles, CA while attending a wedding and visiting family. She will be remembered for her strength, kindness, generosity and grace. Many thanks to the family and friends for their support throughout this difficult time. The family wants to extend their grateful gratitude to the Ramos family for their tremendous help and care for Perfecta. Viewing will be held Sunday, November 18, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight, at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., West St. Paul, MB. Prayers will be at 6:30 p.m. by Father Bo Wardzinski. The Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 19, 2018 at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 355 Andrews St., Winnipeg, MB. Interment and reception to follow at Glen Eden Cemetery. "The only thing better than having you as a sister, was our children having you as their AUNT."
