Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLOUISE MEIER (nee KNOLL) It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the peaceful passing of Louise on November 10, 2018 at Oakview Place, two days before her 87th birthday. Cherished mother, devoted Oma and recently great-grandmother, she will be lovingly remembered by her children, Peter (Doreen) and Susan (Rob), grandchildren, Christa (Brandon), Eric (Kayla), Carly (Wes) and Haley (Michael) and great-granddaughter Quinn. She is predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Tony, sister Susan Fiedler and survived by her brother Joe Knoll. Louise was born in Porchersdorf, Poland on November 13, 1931. She immigrated to Canada in 1951 and married the love of her life Tony, in 1952. Oma, as she was known to her family, was a fantastic cook and baker, especially when it came to making those special tortes. She loved to go to the cottage every summer and plant as many flowers as she could. Louise took great pleasure in attending church, volunteering her time and supplying baking for all the functions. Our entire family would like to express our sincere appreciation for the wonderful, compassionate care provided by all the staff at Oakview Place. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba would be appreciated. A private family service was previously held at Glen Eden. Family and friends may sign a Book of Condolence at www.glenedenmemorial.ca Glen Eden Funeral Home & Cemetery 204-338-7111
