Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGARET PROCILLO Margaret Procillo passed away on Friday, November 16, 2018, at the age of 102 years. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Justyna; her husband Michael; sisters, Pearl, Anne, Mary; and brothers, Steve and Mike. Margie is survived by her sister Joyce, brother Tony, as well as many nephews and nieces. Margaret was born January 7, 1916 in Poplarfield, MB. Margaret left home when she was 16 to go to Winnipeg. She worked first as a domestic in Winnipeg for $8.00 per month. Later, she moved on to be a waitress at a restaurant for $4.50 per week. Margie met her husband Michael while working at the restaurant and after one year of courtship, she married Michael on August 20, 1942. In 1943, Michael joined the army and in 1944 he went overseas for a year. Margaret then moved on to be a seamstress at a sewing factory. After retirement, Margaret enjoyed the sing-a-long at the perogy bee at the Holy Eucharist Church for 20 years. She also crocheted afghans, bed spreads and embroidered table cloths which she donated for raffles. Margaret enjoyed her flower garden and looked forward each spring to plant her vegetable garden. For the last five years Margie resided at Concordia Place. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., West St. Paul, MB. Interment will follow in Glen Eden Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Percy Fuz, Gordie Fuz, Ron Skrabek, Clifford Skrabek, Scott Kurz and Jim Okaluk. The family wishes to thank the staff at Concordia Place for their care of Margaret. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Margaret's memory to a charity of their choice.
