GRADY (GERARDA) JOHANNA MARIA ANTONIA KOR (nee WILBERS) (DEN OUDEN) It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Grady on November 12, 2018 at the Selkirk Regional Health Centre. Grady will be greatly missed by many. She is survived by her sons, Frank den Ouden (Wendy), Bouko (Jim) Kor (Val) and the late Phil Kor Jr. (Elizabeth). She will also be missed by her four grandsons, Nicolaas and Samuel den Ouden, Cody and Tyler Kor and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family in Canada and Holland. Grady was born February 9, 1934 in Nijnegen, Holland. She came to Canada in March, 1958 with her first husband Fred den Ouden and young son Frank. Fred passed away suddenly in 1968. Grady met the next love of her life Philip W. Kor and they were married in December, 1974. Grady and Phil, with the help of friends and family, built a home and created a beautiful life for their sons and grandsons in East Selkirk. Many Sunday suppers were hosted there, often followed by games of dice and cards. Philip passed away in 2007 and Grady moved across the river to Kiwanis on The Red in the City of Selkirk. Grady loved to knit, crochet and sew. She loved to do puzzles and go on bingo trips with her wonderful girlfriends. She loved to read, and she loved the beach and the sun! Often found sitting out of the wind, in March, sun tanning herself. Grady was very involved in the community. She volunteered at the Thrift Store, was a member of The Over 60 Club, and a proud volunteer at The Legion. A celebration of her life and legacy will be held at The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 42, 403 Eveline Street, Selkirk, on Thursday, November 29 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences, pictures and videos may be left on Grady's tribute wall at www.gilbartfuneralhome.com Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
