FRANCESCO (PINO) BULLARO October 15, 1939 - November 21, 2018 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Francesco (Pino) Bullaro. We lost a great man on November 21, 2018 and more importantly our family lost a father, grandfather and husband. Our father's passing has shocked our entire family. He was the rock in our family and acted like a second father to many. He was a man that always put family first and always lent a hand to help others. Francesco is survived by his loving wife Beatrice of 57 years. Proud father of his kids, Francesca Aiello (Ralph), Rosario, Giovanni (Patricia) and Mario (Sue Lussier). He also leaves to mourn his precious grandchildren, Gerald (Alex), Jennah (Jeff), Stephen, Christopher, Krista, Matthew, Makena and Mattea. Also left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Maddelena Bongiorno and Carmela Acquisto (Francesco), his sister-in-law Angelina Borelli and aunt Angela Rinella. He loved his family like no other, helped and protected them at all times. Our father was a Shepard and it is our belief that his purpose in life was to serve and assist others. You never had to ask for help; he just had a way about him that knew when you needed him, and he would always be there and always with a smile. At the young age of 15 years old, Francesco left his home town of Casteltermini, Sicily, Italy, to start his long journey of crossing the Atlantic Ocean to reunite with his sister in Winnipeg. As a young man he learnt many skills to build a new life here in Winnipeg. Although he mastered his craft in carpentry at an early stage, he was a true jack of all trades and could solve just about anything in the construction field. If you were a friend of his, then you will likely have had some sort of repair or renovation done with the only expectation being a simple thank you or a glass of wine. Dad finished out his career working for the Louis Riel School Division. However, his most important job came after retirement when be became his wife's caregiver. You could see his true devotion and compassion through his commitment to brushing her hair every morning, making her breakfast and even sometimes painting her nails. He never wavered in his committment to her. While many believed his passion was watching soccer, it was watching his kids and grandchildren growing up, playing sports and seeing the smiles on their faces. A funeral service will be held at Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Ave., Winnipeg on Wednesday, November 28 at 11:00 a.m. with one hour visitation prior. Interment will take place at Green Acres Funeral Home and Cemetery following the reception. We love you and will always treasure the memories we have of you. Forever in our hearts.
