Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBARBARA ANNE FEATHERSTONE (ZELISKA) August 14, 1936 - November 21, 2018 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, and aunt, Barbara Featherstone, at the age of 82. Born in Rivers, MB, mom moved to Winnipeg at the age of three. Mom was always the life of the party and a social butterfly. She was loved by everyone she met. She spoke fondly of her memories of Grand Beach, taking the train up from Winnipeg for the dances in her earlier years and spending many happy times at the cabin with her family and friends throughout her life. Mom had many hobbies, but will be deeply missed by the casino staff. She is survived by her son Donald, her son Glen and his wife Cathy, her sister Bernice, her three grandchildren, Lee-Anne, Graham, and Jenny, as well as her great-granddaughter Elizabeth. She was preceded by her husband Gordon, in 2003; her son Darren, in 1980; her parents, Thomas and Marjorie; and her two brothers, David and George. A memorial service will be held Friday, December 7, 2018 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Mosaic Funeral Home, 1839 Inkster Blvd., Winnipeg, MB. My mom and dad used to chum with Gordon and Barbara years ago. I remember Barbara making us laugh so much. Her humor was wonderful. I met Barbara several years ago when Gordon and I worked for Census Canada. We hit it off from our initial meeting. Both she and I were casino "regulars". My sincere condolences to Barbara's loved ones. She was very proud of each and every one of you.
