Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEMILIO PALUMBO Emilio Palumbo passed away on November 21, 2018 at 89 years old. Emilio is survived by Emma, his wife of 58 years, daughters, Rosa (Tony), Maria and Sofia, son Riccardo (Joanna), granddaughter Mia, sisters, Elisa and Antonietta (Emilio) and brothers, Loreto (Liliana) and Luigi (Rosa), and sisters-in-law, Nicetta and Carmelina. In addition he leaves behind many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends throughout Canada, Italy and Switzerland. He was predeceased by his parents, Rosina Galuppo and Francesco, brothers, Oreste and Giuseppe, sister Angelina and granddaughter Natasia. Emilio was born February 7, 1929 in Montagano, Campobasso, and the eldest of eight children. In 1954 he arrived in Canada eager to take on the challenges of his new life. In 1960 he married Emma and brought her to Canada where they raised four children. He enjoyed and took pride in working hard. He was an accomplished entrepreneur and a consummate provider. We cherish the legacy, family history and values he instilled in us. Emilio's life changed when he studied the Bible with Jehovah's Witnesses. He was finally able to get answers to questions that puzzled him. His love for God motivated him in his volunteer ministry and in his public speaking presentations. Although suffering poor health for the last 20 years, he always appreciated spiritual things. The night before he died, the entire family listened together to The Maples congregation weekly Bible meeting by telephone. Mom cared for him to the end. Emilio's family would like to thank The Maples and Red River Chinese congregations, family, friends, Deer Lodge Prime Program, home care program, St. Joseph's Personal Care Home and Seven Oaks Hospital. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1877 Inkster Blvd. THOMSON "IN THE PARK" 204-925-1120 Condolences may be sent to www.thomsoninthepark.com

We are sorry to hear of Emilio's passing, Emma, Ricardo and the rest of the family. Silvana recalls how Emilio painted her fireplace mantle when she lived on Pickley. Emilio also painted houses for her parents and brother. Be assured that your current pain will soon be offset by the joy you experience when you welcome him during the great resurrection. Our hearts and thoughts are with your family during this difficult time. - Posted by: Todd and Silvana Kyliuk (Todd (Brother) and Silvana (Former Neighbour)) on: Nov 26, 2018

Truly sorry for your loss Emma, Ricardo and rest of the family. He was always a wonderful person and brother to be around who was passionate about his faith. I'll always remember working with him in service and calling on some of his Italian return visits. Though I didn't understand most of what was being said he impressed me with his sincere desire to reach others. He will be missed for just a short time in relation to the hope he entertained of living forever in Paradise when we welcome him home again. Our heartfelt condolences go out to you Emma and your children. You are a loving, caring and nurturing wife and mother. The care you have given Emilio over the years has been so self sacrificing. We also saw Rosa pushing her Dad in his wheelchair in the neighbourhood, taking him out for a stroll. Losing a loved one is so very difficult and our hearts go out to you at this time. We are with you in looking forward to the resurrection in Paradise. We wish you all Jehovah's rich blessing. - Posted by: Don, Carol, Rachel and Rebekah Grenkow (Friends) on: Nov 24, 2018
