Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY JANE WEST (nee SUTHERLAND) January 22, 1931 - November 23, 2018 With heavy hearts and great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our angel and beloved mother Mary, on November 23, 2018 at the age of 87 years old. Mom will be dearly missed and remembered by her children, Connie (Brian) MacCulloch, Ruby (Alex) Legere, Brian (Doreen) Chartrand, Peter (Debbie) Chartrand, Susan (David) Main, Lawrence (Dawsie) Chartrand, Sandra (Larry) Tanasiciuk, Denise (Steve) Meyer, Leo (Renee) Chartrand, stepsons, Derek (Beata) West, Ron (Shirlene) West, 43 grandchildren, and 50 great-grandchildren. Brothers, Percy (Noreen), Raymond (Rachel), Henry (Lorraine), and her sister Audrey (David) Baker, multiple nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Lawrence and Eveline Sutherland, husband George West, and her two sons, Clarence and Joe Chartrand, brother Allen, and sister Elma Isfeld. We will never forget her unconditional love, support, charisma, wittiness, strength and courage throughout her life, and her unending talents. We are greatful that the Creator gave us this time with our mom. We are eternally proud and thankful to call her mom, mother, nii maamaa, grannie, nana, and koko. Giizaagiian nii maamaa, giigaawaabamin miinawa. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at 10:30 in St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 2400 Portage Avenue, with Rev. Fr. Eric Giddins, presiding.
