Today is Nov. 29, 2020. Paul left us 2 years ago but he still shows up in my memory, as bright and cheery as he always was. I miss you, old buddy, and will always remember you. - Posted by: Walt Lysack (Old friend) on: Nov 29, 2020

Over a year has passed since my old buddy left us. I still hear his voice and see him every so often when he pops into my memories. He was an inspiring, encouraging and supportive friend. I miss you a lot Paul. You were my old buddy. - Posted by: Walt Lysack (Old friend) on: Dec 04, 2019

I was saddened upon Paul’s passing. Paul was one of people I looked forward to visiting with during the Folk Fest. Paul and I had this arrangement that when he had an early morning shift, I would call him to make sure he was awake. The funniest conversation I had with Paul was about the fine art of making French Pressed Coffee. He went as far as loaning me his spare French Press and a container of his favourite ground coffee. The Folk Fest will not be the same without you my friend. See you in the big Folk Fest in the sky. ❤️ - Posted by: Carla Wall (Friend ) on: Feb 05, 2019

Paul and I knew each other as fellow volunteers at the Folk Festival for 30 or 35 years or so. We shared much music, some beer and many stories and good times together. Many of us at the Festival will miss his smile, warmth and friendship. Farewell my friend. - Posted by: Bob Martin (WFF friend) on: Dec 03, 2018

I met Paul in 1976 when he owned the Winnipeg Folklore Center at 107 1/2 Osborne St. I worked for him after I finished graduate school. He was always kind, considerate and encouraging. Over the years we would get together for coffee and he came to our home for summer barbecues and Christmas dinners. I have only good memories of Paul because he was always laughing, full of stories and just a terrific friend. I am deeply saddened. My sincere condolences to his sister. He will always remain an outstanding friend in my memory. Rest In Peace old buddy...... - Posted by: Walt Lysack (Old friend) on: Dec 01, 2018

So sorry to hear of Paul's passing....haven't seen Paul in a couple of years but recall many conversations from times past. If you were cornered by Paul you were always in for an interesting conversation and I will always remember his snicker. He was a talented and creative individual and his annual gift exchange at the Bookie's X-mas parties was the coveted prize by all of us. I was lucky enough to get a couple of his beautiful earrings which I will wear and think of him fondly when I do. Rest in peace Paul, but knowing you, you will probably be busy designing and creating from above!!!! (I can hear him snickering....) - Posted by: deborah danelley ("bookie" friend) on: Dec 01, 2018
