Elsa is survived by her loving son Darin. She is also survived by her nieces, Karen Doyle and Kirsten (Graeson) Wright, and nephew Robin Damm. She was predeceased by her parents, Ragnar and Hilma Nelson, and her husband Arvid Norberg. Elsa was born on May 2, 1935 and grew up and lived in Winnipeg. Elsa met Arvid at St. Marks Lutheran Church in the mid 1950s and they got married in 1958 and moved to Meadows. Elsa graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education degrees. She taught for several years in Winnipeg and Warren, Manitoba. My deepest sympathy to you Darin on the loss of your mom and to Karen and Kirsten on the loss of your aunt. I delivered Meals on Wheels to your mom and aunt on Mondays and Fridays for a long time when she lived on Quail Ridge. She was such a nice lady and we always had a bit of a conversation when I saw her. - Posted by: Joan Porteous (Meals on Wheels Driver) on: Dec 01, 2018

I was saddened to read of the passing of your dear mother Elsie. We were friends in days of United College. I recently was thinking of her, and recalled her great sense of humor. May her memory be for a blessing. Sadly, Esther Weinstein, now of Vancouver. - Posted by: Esther Weinstein (friend) on: Dec 01, 2018

Elsie as we knew her was closer to my sister, Iris (Larsen) Burke. We met in some odd places over the years, ie: The Red River Ex. I offer my deepest condolences to her son Darin. - Posted by: Heather McKenzie, nee, Larsen (Friend growing up. ) on: Dec 01, 2018
