Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLORRAINE GLENESK (née KERGAN) July 4, 1930 - November 30, 2018 It is with joyful sorrow that we announce that our beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Lorraine Glenesk, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 30, 2018, surrounded by many members of her family. Consistent with who Lorraine was, as a person, she left us under her own terms with strength, courage and determination. Lorraine is survived by many who loved her, including her husband of over 66 years, Syd; four children, Larry (Debbie), Char (George), Lynda and Kathy (Kelly); sister Joan; sisters-in-law, Fern and Hilda; grandchildren, Heather (Rori), Lori, Andrew J. (Jenna), Coral (Mark), Andrew S. (Huma), Jeremy (Kerrie), Sasha (Keith), Christopher (Tara), Aaron, Mark (Shawna) and Jordan; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Keiren, Van, Cole, Dane, Sydnee and Rylynn, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family is not planning a Celebration of Life at this time. Since Syd and Lorraine always did everything together and as was Lorraine's stated preference, we will wait for the proper time when we can celebrate both of their long and wonderful lives - together - at a shared ceremony. Friends and relatives are encouraged to share in a photobiography, eulogy, stories, and condolences for the family by visiting Lorraine's tribute page at IntegrityDeathCare.com. I first met Lorraine & Syd when I got off the train from Toronto in June 1960 and they met me and took me home for a wonderful meal. I was just starting my first job at the Winnipeg YMCA with Syd as my new boss. That started a deep and abiding friendship that has lasted to this day with two of the kindest, most energetically active (despite Lorraine's MS) people I have ever had the joy to know. They blessed me with many meals and great gatherings in their home and later with my first wife Josie and then Marilyn at their annual Christmas get-togethers. I lost touch for several years until the controversy arose about them being together at Deer Lodge. We were overjoyed when they finally were reunited. I hope the family will contact me so I can write much longer letter in celebration of a great lady and her true love, Syd.
