Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • I was fortunate to have Charles as my high school math teacher at Argyle High School. Argyle was a wonderful place and a place of love and caring that many of us needed at the time... This is down to the wonderful teachers like Charles. I also appreciated Charles' efforts to get the rules changed to allow beekeeping in the city and was pleased we were able to eventually make it happen. Thoughts and love to Verna and the family at this time. Jenny Gerbasi - Posted by: Jenny Gerbasi (former student) on: Dec 18, 2018

  • Verna and family, Just wanted to offer my sincere condolences on your loss. I really appreciated seeing the slide show, too. I remember being at your wedding in Whitemouth. I also learned a lot about Charles in the obituary and know you are all proud of all he accomplished in his life. I also understand how difficult the last while was for you, as my sis Shirley, just lost her husband of almost 60 years to severe dementia. She often said he was no longer there, the person she knew, the last two years of his life and yet, once he passed away, it was all the good parts of their lives together she remembered. Take care, Lorna - Posted by: Lorna Yont (Friend) on: Dec 16, 2018

  • Rest In Peace Mr Polcyn. Thank you for being patient with me and never giving up. I thought of you as I graduated university, I would not have made it without your help. Condolences to your family. - Posted by: Sanja Lulic (Sisler High School Student 1983) on: Dec 15, 2018
